Bar Baut in it’s forever home

BOOK NOWWe can all know BAUT from their pop-ups throughout Amsterdam over the past seven years. And just like every young man at one point in his life, you need to settle down. At that point, instead of picking up a free couch from eBay, you get that nice design couch because in this home you will stay for a while. After taking their restaurant all over Amsterdam, BAUT finally found its forever home in which they can marry everything from their past concepts. Meet Bar BAUT!
An always recognizable part of BAUT in their interior was the artwork/graffiti from the hands of ‘pipsqueak was here’ and at Bar BAUT this of course again the case. Because of these great looking murals it immediately becomes clear that the stiff fine dining vibes can stay at the door. This also becomes clear when looking at the menu: no classic menu with starters, mains, sides and desserts. All dishes are ideal to share and to make sure you get to taste as much as you can, and trust us: tasting a lot is something you want.

Something I always truly appreciated from the BAUT restaurants is the fact that they are open seven days a week, for lunch, dinner and/or just snacks and drinks with friends. People know this fact and therefore you will never be alone at BAUT. Hospitality staff also knows this and I feel this makes them want to work at BAUT and therefore the quality of the staff is always high. Win-win- win I would say.
The menu is the brainchild of Michiel van der Eerde and his team. On it some “never” changing dishes like their famous steak tartare and the oysters with beautiful toppings to choose from. Next to these signature dishes are the equally surprising dishes that do great on Instagram..
